
4-68 Centrifugal fan
I. Purpose of the fan:
The 4-68 centrifugal fan (hereinafter referred to as the fan) can be used for general ventilation. Its operating conditions are as follows:
1、Application locations: Used for indoor ventilation in general factories and large buildings, it can serve both as an air intake and exhaust.
2、Types of gases to be transported: Air and other non-flammable, non-toxic to humans, and non-corrosive to steel materials gases.
3、Impurities in the gas: The gas must not contain viscous substances, and the dust and hard particles should not exceed 150 mg/m³.
4、Temperature of the gas: must not exceed 80 degrees.

II. Structural characteristics of main components
The No.2.8-5 model of the 4-68 fan mainly consists of an impeller, casing, air inlet, and other parts directly connected to the motor. The No.6.3-20 model includes a transmission section in addition to the above components.
1、Impeller: Composed of 12 backward-inclined airfoil blades welded between an arc-conical cover and a flat disc. All parts are made of steel plate, statically and dynamically balanced for correction, ensuring excellent aerodynamic performance, high efficiency, and smooth operation.
2、Housing: The housing is a volute-shaped structure welded from ordinary steel plates. It is designed in two different types. Models No. 2.8–12.5 feature an integral housing that cannot be disassembled. Models No. 16 and 20 have a three-part housing, which is divided into two halves along the horizontal center plane, with the upper half further split into two parts along the vertical centerline, connected by bolts.
3、Inlet: designed as a convergent streamlined integral structure, bolted to the fan inlet side.
4、Transmission group: Consisting of the main shaft, bearing housing, rolling bearings, pulley or coupling, etc. The main shaft is made of high-quality steel. For fan models No. 6.3–12.5, the bearing housing has an integrated structure, with a thermometer and oil level indicator installed on the bearings. For fan models No. 16 and 20, two parallel bearing seats are used, each equipped with a thermometer and lubricated with bearing grease.
