Note: Fans are generally divided into two categories: supply fans and (exhaust) fans. When selecting a fan, please first pay attention to the fan description, applicable places and scope of application.

1. Calculation part

Calculation formula of air change volume: Q = indoor cubic M3 × number of air changes min = required air volume/min

Normal air supply fan: Q = air duct friction loss + elbow loss + total exhaust volume of the exhaust fan + wind loss of the air outlet filter material = required air volume

Abnormal air supply fan: Q = air duct friction loss + elbow loss + total exhaust volume of the exhaust fan + wind loss of the air inlet and outlet filter material + wind loss of insufficient air inlet + wind loss of insufficient air outlet + wind loss when the voltage is unstable = required air volume.

2. Air duct part

(1) If it is an exhaust fan, the fewer elbows and the shorter the air inlet pipe, the greater the suction power.

(2) When the air inlet duct is narrowed (smaller than the air inlet), the suction force (wind speed) will be increased and the air inlet volume will be reduced. (3) When the air outlet duct is narrowed (smaller than the air outlet), the air outlet volume and air suction volume will be reduced. It is recommended that the air outlet duct should be 1.2 to 1.5 times larger than the air outlet.

3. Filter material part

(1) It is recommended that the total air inlet area of ​​the fan filter room be at least 6 times larger than the total air inlet, depending on the number of filter material stages. (2) It is recommended that the filter material should not be placed in the air outlet as much as possible, as the wind loss may reach more than 30-60%.
